Grants for Arts Projects provides expansive funding opportunities to strengthen the nation’s arts and cultural ecosystem. Grants are available for arts projects in a wide variety of artistic disciplines. Each discipline has identified the types of projects that are of greatest interest within this program as well as the characteristics of competitive applications.
Center for Cultural Innovation Zoo Labs: FUND—$5,000-$50,000 | July 10 (Deadline)
Zoo Labs empowers Black, Indigenous, and people of color to own and amplify their music business through entrepreneurial training, resource exchange, focused mentorship, and community building. In 2024, Zoo Labs: FUND will make available $225,000 in unrestricted grants to Bay Area BIPOC and BIPOC-led artist teams with a music business.
To address both the marked lack of capital for Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) artists, as well as the lack of practical and affordable business education that cultural innovators need in order to begin and scale their creative businesses, Zoo Labs evolved its West Oakland-based, in-person programming to reach a broader audience in the Bay Area and beyond

The Breakthrough Grant is an independent business grant that provides early-stage marketing and creative consultants with $25,000 in tools, resources, and training to break through barriers and accelerate their growth.
There are two rounds of the program in 2024 with 10 winners in each round.

The Champion Creator’s Program—$5,000 | July 17 (Deadline)
The Champion Creator’s Program celebrates the power, expression, and purpose of creators from various backgrounds by awarding prize money and/or product to deserving creators that demonstrate innovation, community impact, scale, and creativity.
LIFT Beauty Accelerator—$10,000 | July 18 (Deadline)
LIFT Beauty Accelerator is an incubation program designed to support innovative and inspirational beauty brand founders, with a focus on founders from underrepresented communities. Through comprehensive training, resources, and mentorship, the program equips participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to build and sustain successful businesses.
This support includes a 1-Year membership in the B.B.C. and practical mentoring from each of the partners. Moreover, winners will gain the invaluable opportunity to present their brands directly to leading national retailer JCPenney for potential distribution.
NAACP x Bacardi Backing The Bar Grant—$10,000 | July 30 (Deadline)
The NAACP x BACARDI are working together to provide dedicated support under-represented minorities in the beverage alcohol service, sales and hospitality industries. Backing the B.A.R. is an NAACP initiative that is awarding over $100,000 in acceleration grants, education, support and entrepreneurship solutions for minority-owned bars, restaurants, nightclubs, lounges, liquor stores and small businesses in the process of applying for a liquor license.
